It may be the pre-show martinis kicking in, but…

…so far I’m not hating New York. Weird, right?

Today we went on a walking tour of tasty food in Greenwich Village which was really good. Despite it being a beautiful New York day (I’m being sarcastic – it snowed all day long), our guide had lots of interesting history to tell us all about and there was lots of yummy food to taste! We had a half-slice of pizza, bread with extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar (no more Bertolli’s for me!), a rice ball (veggie ravioli for me), wine and faro (I think?), cookies, cheese, and a cannoli.

Then we braved the snow and went to Times Square to see about half-price tickets to something tonight and got tickets to see Mary-Louise Parker in Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler. She was really good, but, perhaps predictably, it was fairly dark. But I feel smarter for having seen it.
